The internet has definitely come a long way, especially in terms of education. The infographic How the Internet is Revolutionizing Education proves this point. According to the infographic, there are 3 million students in the United States taking online classes. This number was very surprising to me; I did not realize it is so high. With the convenience of online education more and more people are enrolling. Plus with the updated technology it is easy to access a computer or iPad to complete online work.
The Best Web Applications by Larry Ferlazzo was also pretty cool to look through. I didn't realize how many different application there were that could be applied to education. The Mural.ly would be a great way to come up with ideas in a group and share with everyone for a group project. Info.gram would be something I could use in my health class to create inforgraphics on the various topics I cover as an alternative to notes. TED Ed is also something I would love to use in my health class. There are many videos and lessons that I could share with my classes. I really like the idea of this site and that educators can share their lessons and videos.
